Valeric Syrup

Sedative, Anti – depression, Anti – Insomnia

- The main ingredient of this syrup is the extract of the plant Valeriana Officinalis known as Valerien .

- This plant with its calming & sleep inducing effect can be used in case of nervousless & insomnia.

Composition:

 Each 100 ml. Contains 25 ml of the Valeriana Officinalis root’s extract & a minimum of 0.5 % of the essence of Rhizoma & Radix.

Usage

The syrup can be used in times of Nervousness & insomnia and other uses are for restlessness , sleeping disorders based on nervous conditions, mental strain, lack of concentration, excitability, stress, headache, neurasthenia, epilepsy,hysteria, nervous cardiopathy, menstrual states of agitation, pregnancy, menopause, neuralgia, fainting, nervous stomach cramps, colic, uterine spasticity & states of anxiety.

Precaution and adverse reactions:

No health hazards are known in conjunction with the proper adminstration of designated therapeutic dosages. Gastrointestinal complaints can occure in rare cases, contact allergies in very rare ones.

With long- term administration, the following can occasionally appear: headache, restless states, sleeplessness, mydriasis, and disorders of cardiac function.

Drug interactions

Valerian may potentiate the effect of other CNS depressants. It has an additive effect when used in combination with barbiturates and benzodiazepines.

Though there has been no evidence of potentiating of the CNS depressive effect when combined with alcohol, it is not recommended that valerian be used in conjunction with, alcohol.

Precaution

Because of the sedative effect of valerian, operation of machinery or motor vehicles should be avoided for several hours after ingesting Valeric syrup.

Pregnancy

Use of this syrup during pregnancy or in nursing mothers is not recommended.

Dosage

6 to 12 ml one hour before bed, Please shake well before use.

Please keep in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
